About

K&A is a unique blend of academic education expertise combined with an understanding of and close collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry.  Gerald J. Kelliher, PhD, the founder of Kelliher & Associates, trained as a pharmacist and then went on to earn a masters and doctorate in Pharmacology.  During 30 years on the faculty of a Philadelphia area medical school, he achieved positions of tenured professor, Senior Associate Dean and University Vice Provost for Education.

While at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1975, he developed the pharmaceutical education division which provided training at five medical schools around the US for sales representatives from leading pharmaceutical companies.  His experience as an active member of speaker’s bureaus for numerous pharmaceutical companies has given him a unique perspective for training today’s speakers.  For over 20 years, Dr. Kelliher designed and conducted a national/international program for training medical school faculty to teach.  This program formed the basis of K&A’s unparalleled peer-to-peer training---bringing the art of teaching physicians to educate their peers to the pharmaceutical industry.

His academic expertise combined with this practical experience allows him to work effectively with his K&A colleagues today training Key Opinion Leaders, speakers, faculty, FDA Advisory Committee presenting teams and clinical protocol teams conducting investigator meetings. Thousands of physicians and other healthcare workers have been successfully trained in these K&A programs.

All of the 30 associates who are available to conduct programs are medical school faculty that hold an MD or PhD degree and have been trained by Dr.Kelliher in a customized fellowship program. They are experienced at educating physicians and are knowledgeable in both process and content.  Each associate brings their unique blend of skills and experience to our programs and uses the K&A proven methods to achieve the desired outcome…clear messages effectively delivered.
